The Computer Science and Engineering Department of NERIST came into existence right at the inception of the institute in 1986. It offers a unique combination of courses and projects that helps the students to cope with the recent advancements in the computer industry and information technology. The department has been offering the Diploma and B.Tech programs in computer science and engineering since 1986. The M.Tech program in Computer Science and Engineering started in 2008. The department has been offering the Mtech (Information Technology) program since 2011. The department also offers the PhD program in Computer Science and Engineering
