Govt. P. G. College, Sendhwa is situated on the M. P. and Maharashtra border in Barwani district of M. P. This institution has been established in 1964 by advanced, Liberal and sympathatic Shiksha Pracharak Samiti of SENDHWA city. On 1973 Govt. of M.P. has taken over the college. due to overwelming response from the student community and rapid increase in the number of students admitted in various faculties. The college is situated at a distance of 70 kilometers from the district head office and has a widely spread campus which has play grounds and all the other facilities. Its population is about 50000. Sendhwa is a tehsil of famous tribal district Barwani of M.P. Maharastra state is 16 K.m. far away from Sendhwa.
The college is a government institution, affiliated to Devi Ahilya University, Indoreand follows the rules and regulations of Government of M.P and the university. It is catering to the needs of the students of Barwani district and the adjacent areas of sendhwa A large number of students come from TRIBAL and rural area for admission in the college.
The college has a library in which there are more than 40000 books of various subjects. It subscribes almost all the main magazines and newspapers. The college also has a computer lab, which has 20 computer systems. In future it intends to purchase more systems and plans to computerize the entire functioning of the institution including the office and the library.
