The Faculty of Engineering and Technology was established in 1985 with the objective to provide outstanding engineering education directed at enriching the quality of life in an emerging knowledge-based society. The mission of the Faculty is to graduate morally conscious and highly competent engineers, conduct internationally recognized research, and provide quality professional and community services. The Faculty operates as an administrative unit within the University and thus is home to over 3000 students and over 200 academic, administrative and technical staff. At present, there are six departments in the Faculty –civil, mechanical, electrical, electronics and communication, and computer engineering, and applied sciences and humanities.
