AMET University (Academy of Maritime Education and Training) India’s first Marine University for maritime-related education, training and research. AMET is established as a private maritime institute through Smt.Pattammal Educational and Charitable Trust with just 14 cadets in 1993. AMET has, through its uncompromising strides of excellence and ambitious zeal to serve the students and nation, transformed into the first university for maritime education in India under AMET Trust. (AMET) was granted the deemed to be University status by the UGC on 21st August 2007 under the “de-novo” category with maritime education as emerging field with great potential.

1 .	B.E. Harbour Engineering and Offshore Technology
	Eligibility A Pass in Plus-two (12th Standard) or its equivalent, with minimum 60% Marks aggregate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry Group from any recognized Board.

	Other Details This course is formulated to obtain expertise in Harbour Engineering to fulfill the requirements of design and construction of Port and harbour structures and also to become Offshore engineers to design and construct as well as to operate and maintain offshore oil drilling platforms for oil exploration and production

2 .	B.E. Marine Electrical and Electronics Engineering

3 .	B.E. Marine Engineering
	Eligibility A pass in Plus-two (12th Standard) or its equivalent, with minimum 60% aggregate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry group and at least 50% marks in English; Age Limit : Not more than 25 years at the time of commencement of the course
	Duration 4 years or 8 semesters residential course

4 .	B.E. Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering
	Eligibility A Pass in Plus-two (12th Standard) or its equivalent, with minimum 60% Marks aggregate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry Group from any recognized Board. Lateral Entry: (i) Diploma mechanical / Civil Engineering students who have secured first class are eligible to be admitted in second year of the study. (ii) BSC Mathematics / Physics graduates who have secured first class are eligible to be admitted in second year of the study.

7 .	MBA Logistics and Shipping
	Eligibility 1. Any degree from a recognized University with 50% marks(OR) 2. Mariners holding the following professional qualification obtained after a minimum duration of study-cum-training of 6 years after 10+2 leading to: a) Master Foreign Going Certificate of Competency.(OR) b) First Class Motor or Steam or Combined (Chief Engineer) Certificate of Competency issued by the Directorate General of Shipping, Ministry of Shipping, Government of India or its counterparts in other countries.
	Duration 2 years (Internship: 6 – 8 weeks in between the First & Second year.)
