The first Marine Institution in Coimbatore was founded in 2001 in the name of "Coimbatore Marine Center". In 2003, the name was changed to 'Coimbatore Marine College'. Since then a phenomenal progress has been made by introducing various DGS approved marine courses with state-of-the-art infrastructure.

B.E. Marine Engineering | B.Sc. Nautical Science | Graduate Marine Engineering

1 .	B.E. Marine Engineering
	Eligibility A pass in +2 or its equivalent with minimum 60% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry group & atleast 50% marks in English For lateral entry which is of 3 years the qualification is Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Marine with 55% marks in final year or passed first year of engineering degree from Mechanical/Electrical stream with 60% marks from the college recognized by AICTE
	Duration 4 years (8 semesters) fully residential course
	Other Details Degree offered by: Vinayaka Mission University, Salem; Candidate should be physically fit for sea service under standard norms, with eyesight distance vision up to 0.5 with no colour blindness.

2 .	B.Sc. Nautical Science
	Eligibility A pass in +2 or its equivalent with minimum 60% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry group & atleast 50% marks in English
	Duration 3 years fully residential course

3 .	Graduate Marine Engineering
	Eligibility B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a college recognised by AICTE with 50% marks in final year, 50% in English in 10th / +2 / Degree
	Duration 1 year, fully residential course
	Other Details Age limit : Below 28 years at the time of entry; Candidate should be physically fit for sea service under standard norms, with eyesight distance vision up to 0.5 with no colour blindness
