The Cochin College was founded on July 15, 1967, in response to an increasing demand for higher education opportunities in West Kochi. The College symbolises the hopes and aspirations of the public of Kochi and is a milestone in the history of the commercial town of Kochi. From its humble beginning as a Junior College in 1967, the institution slowly and steadily grew into a post-graduate college in 1995.The college was accredited with B+ by the NAAC in 2003 and re-accredited with B Grade (2.85) in 2012.
library:The Library was established in the year 1967. It caters to the needs of the UG and PG students, research scholars and faculty. All the English, Malayalam Newspapers, magazine, periodicals, and Journals are available in the Library. Students are advised to spend some time every day in the library. All members of the staff and students are entitled to use the library for reference and to take books on loan..
