The institute is approved by the DG Shipping, Govt. of India and affiliated to the Indian Maritime University, Chennai. At present we conduct almost 40 DG Shipping approved courses at our present campus in New Delhi. The institute is became functional from 27th January 2003 The institute commenced its first batch of erastwhile Deck Rating course in April 2003 and One Year Pre Sea Diploma in Nautical Science (Applied Nautical Science) in August 2006. The institute has its own land of 10 acres in the prime location of Dwarka(New Delhi). The institute progressed by leaps and bound and today it has Competency, Post Sea, Advanced STCW, Basic STCW and Specific Ship type courses. A team of dedicated full and Part time faculty, Ex Navy instructors and supporting staff. The institute also operates a Recruitment and Placement of Seafarers License MUM 255 for the pupose of povide the Onboard training to our passed out students.
Sriram Institute of Marine Studies has its own independent campus in which all educational activities are conducted. Residential facilities with the Best Catering services, state of the art classrooms with smart boards, LCD projectors, DVDs and computers are provided for the lectures.
