1 .	Advanced Fire Fighting (AFF)
	Eligibility For admission to the course, seafarers must have completed sea service of not less than one year or have attended an approved training course and have sea service of not less than 6months. This course is open to seafarers who have completed basic training in Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting. The trainees must be certified by a Doctor (Approved by DGS) to be in good health and complete basic course

2 .	Automatic Radar Plotting Aids (ARPA)
	Eligibility Those wishing to enter this course should have completed a course of training which meets or exceeds the requirements set out in IMO Assembly resolution 4.A.483(XII) training in Radar observation & plotting (IMO Model course No.1.07) (Radar Observation Simulator Course).

3 .	B.Tech. Marine Engineering
	Eligibility Pass in 10+2 Std or above with PCM 60% above, in English 50% & above

4 .	Certificate Course in Maritime Catering
	Eligibility 12th Pass - total Average mark is 40% plus 40% in English separate either in 10th or 12th.
	Duration 6 months Residential Course
	Other Details Age: 17 ½ to 25 Years; Medically fit as per M.S (Medical Examination of seafarers) Rules 2000. Eyesight 6x12.

5 .	Diploma in Nautical Science
	Eligibility Pass in 10+2 Std or above with PCM 55% above, in English 50% & above
	Duration 1 year Residential Course
	Other Details Leading to B.SC Nautical Science; Age –Upto 25 Years; The candidate has to clear the Medical standards set by M.S. Medical Examination Rule, 2000. Apart from these candidates have to undergo a full eyesight test conducted by the Mercantile Marine Department. 6/6 in each eye without visual aids with Normal colour vision.

6 .	Electro Technical Officer (ETO)
	Eligibility Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics with minimum 60% and English as separate subjects with minimum 50% marks in English Language at 10th or 12th standard exam Passed three year's Diploma with 60% marks or four year's Degree, with 50% marks in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication / Communication Engineering, or Electronics and Instrumentation or equivalent. The diploma/degree courses must have been recognized by any State or Central Government or the AICTE Age Limit: <35 Years
	Duration 4 months
	Other Details An ETO is responsible for the functioning and handling of all electrical equipments onboard a vessel such as maintenance of generators, deep freezers, air condition and total electrical system on deck, accommodation and engine room.

7 .	Elementary First Aid (EFA)
	Duration 3 days

8 .	Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (FPFF)
	Duration 3 days

9 .	GP Rating (Deck/Engine)
	Eligibility 10th Pass - total Average mark is 40% plus 40% in English separate.
	Duration 6 months Residential Course

10 .	Medical First Aid (MFA)
	Eligibility For admission to the course, seafarers must have completed sea service of not less than one year or have attended an approved training course and have sea service of not less than 6months. All trainees must be completed basic course (EFA).

11 .	Oil Tanker Familiarization (OTF)
	Eligibility This course is open to seafarers who are to be assigned specific duties and responsibilities related to Cargo and Cargo equipment on tankers, and who have completed on approved shore- based fire fighting course

12 .	Passenger Ship Familiarization (PSF)
	Duration 3days

13 .	Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (PSSR)
	Duration 3days

14 .	Personal Survival Techniques (PST)
	Duration 3days

15 .	Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boat (PSCRB)
	Eligibility For admission to the course, seafarers must have completed sea service of not less than one year or have attended an approved training course and have completed sea service of not less than 6 months. A seafarer must be certified by a DGS Approved Doctor to be in good health. They must also have completed the four basic courses

16 .	Radar ARPA and Navigation Simulation Course (RANSCO)
	Eligibility Certificate of competency issued under Reg 11/1 or 11/1(NCV) of the STCW 95 and should also hold Radar Observation Simulator course certificate and ARPA course certificate

17 .	Radar Observer Simulator Course (ROSC)
