Yak Group initially started with Maritime Courses is approved by the Directorate General of Shipping (Govt of India) as well as Indian Maritime University & by Nautical Institute UK, Belize Maritime Authority, Liberian Maritime Authority, Diving courses approved by International Diving Schools Association (IDSA) France, adjudged the "Best Training Institute" by the Government of India. Yak Group initially started with Maritime Courses approved by D.G Shipping (Govt of India) has successfully trained over 70,000 professionals till 2008. It has grown from strength to strength and diverted into various other business like Computer and Animation courses, underwater diving and welding courses, Shipping and Logistics courses, warehousing, Custom Clearance and Freight Forwarding activities and construction activities. Yak is now venturing into various other avenues and a large number of schemes / courses are in the pipeline.
Library- A library with large collections of books for reference and general reading is available. Library also subscribes for various shipping related and general magazines in addition to leading news papers for the benefit and
update of students
Workshop -There is a huge Multi Discipline, well equipped workshop with
independent large bays for Seamanship, Marine Engineering, Carpentry, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Electrical etc.
Sports - The campus provides for good out-door and indoor sports facilities
including a well equipped Gym. Sports facilities Football, Cricket, Volleyball,
Basketball, Table Tennis, Badminton, Gymnasium and other large number of
indoor games are available at the Campus.
Hostel Facility
Students have to stay in hostel within the campus. Each
furnished cabin with attached toilets accommodates four students. Students
are provided with individual cupboards and study tables.
