BA with Arabic as Optional Main or Subsidiary subject under Part III securing not less than 45% marks for that part or BA/B.Sc. with Arabic as Additional Language under Part III securing not less than 50% marks for that Part or B.A/B.Sc. with a pass in Afzal-Ul-ema (Oriental Title) examination of the Kerala or Calicut University or Arabic Munshi Examination of the Kerala Government or Arabic Munshi (Lower or Higher) of the erstwhile Travancore-Cochin Government.
B.A with Hindi as Optional Main Subject under Part III securing not less than 45% marks for that part or B.A/B.Sc. with Hindi as Additional Language under Part II Securing not less than 50% marks for that part.
Graduate in Islamic History or in any subject in the Faculties of Social Sciences or graduates in Arabic, securing not less than 45% of the aggregate marks under part III optional subjects. The latter two categories will be considered if there are vacancies over and above the number of applicants who have taken their BA in Islamic History. (A weightage of 40% marks may be given to graduates in Islamic History).
BA With Malayalam as Optional Main subject under Part III securing not less than 45% marks for that part or B.A/B.Sc. with Malayalam as Additional language under Part II securing not less than 50% marks for that part. A weightage of 10% will be given to those who have taken Malayalam as their optional subject at the graduate level.
Graduation in any subject in the Faculties of Arts, Social Science, Oriental Studies, Fine Arts or Science securing not less than 45% marks in Part III optional Subjects (including subsidiaries).
Graduation in Politics, History Economics, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Law, Journalism, Commerce, Business Administration, Public Administration, Geography or other subjects under Social Sciences securing not less than 45% marks in Part III optional subjects. Graduates in science and engineering with 60% marks are also eligible. Proportion of science and engineering graduates shall not exceed 10% of total seats.
B.A Sanskrit as Optional Main subject under Part III securing not less than 45% marks for that part or B.A/B. Sc with Sanskrit as Additional Language under Part II securing not less than 50% marks for that part.
(b) Sanskrit (Special): Graduate in Sanskrit (Special) securing not less than 45% of the aggregate marks under Part III optional subjects or Graduates in Sanskrit.
