The "Institute of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (IAME)" was established in 2008 at "Aurangabad", a city of Maharashtra State having cultural and historical heritage. IAME functions under Late Lilawati Satish Awhad Education Society and to run the course under Continuing Education Programme (CEP), this institute made MOU with Government Polytechnic Aurangabad (An autonomous Institute of Govt. of Maharashtra).

Semester examinations conducted by institute
a) After completing each semester the students will be subjected to an examination. Before a candidate is allowed to appear for the examination, he / she should have been present for at least 80% of the training period of the subject. The examinations will be conducted semester wise, every six months.
b) Examination papers will be set, invigilated and checked by competent examiners designated by the chief instructor.
c) The examination papers will be combination of quiz-type and essay-type questions, in a ratio of 70 % quiz & 30 % essay type.
d) Candidates who are successful in the semester examination will be issued with a mark sheet by the institute giving details of the marks obtained in each subject.
e) DGCA representatives may at their discretion associate with the examination to ensure that the standard of questions and fair examination practices are followed.
f) To be declared successful in the course, candidates must obtain a minimum 70% in each paper of semester examinations conducted by the institute.
g) Students will be promoted to the next semester after completion of previous semester(s). Students who are not successful in passing some subjects of a semester may be re-examined for those subject(s) until they pass the complete semester.
