The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (hereafter IITGN) was founded in the year 2008. It is currently located in Chandkheda, which is about a 15-minute drive from both Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Ahmedabad is one of the oldest living cities in India, known both for a rich cultural past as well as state-of-the-art infrastructure, thriving industries, and many modern amenities. It is also the hub of prestigious academic and research institutes such as the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and the National Institute of Design. Hostel Facility
IIT Gandhinagar has 12 centrally air-conditioned and furnished hostels having a capacity of 2600+ students. These are Aibaan, Beauki, Chimair, Duven, Emiet, Firpeal, Griwiksh, Hiqom, Ijokha, Jurqia, Kyzeel and Lekhaag. These hostels have mordern amenities like 24x7 WiFi, LAN connections in every room , single seater rooms, double seater rooms, sick rooms, 24x7 electricity, common room , washroom, specially designed washroom for specially abled, hot water supply, 24x7 security service, drinking water cooler, laundry service, elevators, a pantry on each floor of each hostel equipped with a refrigerator, microwave oven and induction stove.
