UPDATE PHOTOS of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Mandi)

The laying of the foundation stone at Kamand, the site for the permanent campus of IIT Mandi, took place on 24 February 2009. IIT Mandi was registered as a society in Uttarakhand on 20 June 2009. Admission of the first batch of students took place in July 2009, and classes started in IIT Roorkee, the mentoring IIT, in 27 July 2009. The transit campus at Government Post graduate College, Mandi was handed over by the Himachal Pradesh Government 16 November 2009.

1 .	B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering
	Eligibility 10+2 with Physics & mathematics as compulsory subjects with one of the following subjects - chemistry/ biotechnology/ computer science/ biology with 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST candidates)
	Duration 4 years
	Admission Procedure Admissions will be made through a Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced). Only the top 1,50,000 candidates (including all categories) who qualify in Paper - I of JEE (Main) are eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced).

2 .	B.Tech. Electrical Engineering
	Eligibility 10+2 with Physics & mathematics as compulsory subjects with one of the following subjects - chemistry/ biotechnology/ computer science/ biology with 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST candidates)
	Duration 4 Years (8 Semester)
	Admission Procedure Admissions will be made through a Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced). Only the top 1,50,000 candidates (including all categories) who qualify in Paper - I of JEE (Main) are eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced).

3 .	B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering
	Eligibility 10+2 with Physics & mathematics as compulsory subjects with one of the following subjects - chemistry/ biotechnology/ computer science/ biology with 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST candidates)
	Duration 4 years

4 .	M.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering
	Eligibility Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology or equivalent in an appropriate area or MSc (Computer Science/Information Technology) or MCA from a recognized Institution and a valid GATE score in CS or IT
	Duration 2 years

5 .	Ph.D. Computer Science and Engineering
	Eligibility Candidates are expected to have MTech/ME in CS with 70% marks (65% for SC / ST) or 7.5 (7.0 for SC/ST) CPI/CGPA on the scale of 10. (Applicants must mention their performance (marks/grade obtained/projects done) in the courses related to his or her research interest).
	Duration 3 years (Minimum)
	Admission Procedure Admission is generally offered on the basis of an interview, which is supplemented by a written test if necessary.
