Archbishop Powathil Assumption Community College (APACC) is an extension wing of Assumption College, Changanassery and is the means through which Assumption College reaches out to the specific needs of the community. APACC was formally inaugurated by his Excellency Archbishop Pedro Lopez Quintana on 11 February 2005. It is designed in accordance with the policy adopted and recommended by the National Policy of Education(NPE) and UGC with a view to finding a remedy for the lack of social commitment in higher education and to generating employability in the unreached sector of the community. APACC is registered under Madras Centre for Research and Development of Community Education [MCRDCE] Chennai- the Co-ordinating Agency of all Community Colleges in India

	Eligibility A pass in +2 in any subject

2 .	B.Com. Travel and Tourism
	Eligibility A pass in +2 in any subject

3 .	Bachelor of Tourism Studies (BTS)
	Eligibility 10+2 or its equivalent
	Duration 3-year Degree Programme

4 .	Bachelors Preparatory Programme
	Eligibility 10th standard/SSC/equivalent or BPP from IGNOU.
	Duration Min.: 6 months, Max.: 2 years
	Other Details Bachelor's Preparatory Programme is offered by the University to those students who wish to do Bachelor's Degree of IGNOU but do not have the essential qualifications of having passed 10+2 The Bachelor's Preparatory Programme has following three courses. 	Eligibility Any candidate who has passed HSC(10 + 2) exam from any stream with English as passing subject with minimum 45% marks at 12th std.
	Duration Three academic years, divided into six semesters.

7 .	Certificate Course in Information Technology
	Eligibility 10+2 or its equivalent

8 .	Certificate Course in Teaching English
	Eligibility Any graduate interested in teaching English. Even non-graduates (who have completed 10+2) can enrol for the programme provided they have 2 years teaching experience in School.
	Duration 6 months - 2 years.

9 .	Diploma in Fashion Designing
	Eligibility 10+2 or its equivalent

10 .	Diploma in Tourism
	Eligibility 10+2 or its equivalent

11 .	Diploma in Travel and Tourism Management
	Eligibility 10+2 or its equivalent

12 .	MCA
	Eligibility Any Science graduate with min. 50% marks (45% for reserved category). MH-MCA-CET not required.
