Jaya College of Engineering and Technology started in the year 2000 – 2001 at Poonamallee, Chennai to Bangalore Bypass Road, and Thiruvallur District under the auspices of Jaya Educational Trust which is a registered Telugu Minority Institution. The trust renders philanthropic and educational service to linguistic people living in rural areas bordering Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.The College is located at Poonamallee at a distance of about 10 km from Koyambadu on the Chennai – Bangalore National Highway. It is easily reached from Chennai by bus proceeding to Poonamallee. The College is about 1 kilometer from Poonamallee Bus Stand.
Central Library: The total area of the Library building is about 520 sq.m. Many knowledge-based services like that of Reference, Bibliography, McGraw Hill access engineering, DELNET, Reprography, CD-ROM Databases, Internet browsing and e-services are provided by the library for its users.

Wi-Fi:Our campus has wired as well as Wi-Fi (Wireless network) connectivity to enable the students to be connected to the unlimited resource of information available in the web. This facility is available in the library also to browse research journals and magazines to broaden the academic skills of the students and faculty.
Hostel Facility
Individual buildings for Boys and girls for accommodation within the campus is available. They are spacious, well lit, and comfortable and provide a homely ambience for the students. Separate dinning area and T.V room are the other facilities of the Hostel.
