Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET - 2026) to be conducted by Anna University, Chennai on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu from the candidates who seek admission to M.B.A. and M.C.A. Degree Programmes for the academic year 2026-2027 offered at University Departments, Constituent colleges of Anna University, Annamalai University, Government and Government Aided Colleges (Engineering, Arts & Science Colleges) and Self-Financing Colleges (Engineering, Arts & Science Colleges including stand-alone Institutions) in Tamil Nadu.

The Government of Tamil Nadu has authorised Anna University to conduct
A. Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) for admission to M.B.A and M.C.A Degree Programmes offered at
for admission through centralized Single-Window online counseling.
Other Universities functioning under the state Act in Tamil Nadu and self-financing colleges (Engineering Colleges, Arts & Science Colleges including stand-alone Institutions) may also opt to admit the candidates on the basis of the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test-2026.

B. COMMON ENGINEERING ENTRANCE TEST AND ADMISSIONS (CEETA-PG) for admission to M.E./ M.Tech./ M.Arch./ M.Plan. offered at
for admission through centralized Single-Window online counseling.
Government Aided Engineering Colleges and Technical institutions funded by
Central Government affiliated to Anna University may also join in this admission
process. Self-financing Engineering Colleges may also use CEETA-PG-2026 score
for their admission process.
Eligibility :

Duration of the Test : 2 Hours
A pass in a recognised Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration and
obtained at least 50% (45% in the case of BC,BCM, MBC, SC, SCA and ST candidates
belonging to Tamilnadu) in the qualifying degree examination.

Duration of the Test : 2 Hours
A pass in a recognised Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 years duration in
B.C.A. or B.Sc. (Information Technology / Computer Science or equivalent), or a
pass in a recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration (in
disciplines other than the ones mentioned above) with Mathematics at 10 + 2
level or at Graduation Level and obtained at least 50 % (45% in the case of BC,
BCM, MBC, SC, SCA and ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu) in the qualifying
degree examinations.
