British Council Kolkata offers CELTA Course

UNI, Kolkata | Published : 22nd January 2014

celta The British Council introduces The Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA) here in Kolkata this February.

This teaching award is an internationally recognised teaching qualification which follows a four week curriculum designed by the University of Cambridge.

CELTA is considered to be an international benchmark English language teaching certification and the only qualification accepted by many language schools around the world, the course begins in February 24.

It is an initial qualification for people with little or no previous teaching experience. It is equally relevant to those who want to learn a new way of teaching English or gain an internationally recognised qualification.

CELTA trainees must be at least 20 years old and have a first degree or equivalent. You should also have a proficiency (C1/C2) level of English.

The course is built around the essential techniques of teaching. It is assessed through a combination of teaching practice and written assignments with our dedicated CELTA team providing specialist guidance and support.

The British Council is the most established CELTA provider in India and has four Cambridge recognised centres.
