NISH extends date for DECSE course till July 28

National Institute of Speech and Hearing (NISH) has extended date for applications for one-year Diploma in Early Childhood Special Education (Hearing Impairment) DECSE (HI) till July 28.

Degree in any discipline is stipulated by NISH for admission to the course. Parents and siblings of hard of hearing students will be given preference to the course. Minimum requirements of Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) will be followed for all candidates.

The course, approved and accredited by the RCI, aims at preparing teachers for training hearing impaired students at their rehabilitation centers. Those who are admitted to the course will be trained at assessing, managing, educating, and rehabilitating hearing impaired children in the pre-school age group. Applications should be filled online through admissions.nish.ac.in, a statement from NISH here said.
