Mother Theresa Post Graduate and Research Institute of Health Sciences here, offering health care professional courses in Nursing, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy and Medical Laboratory Technology run by the government has been accredited with "A" grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council ( NAAC).
The NAAC had inspected the institute in September this year and provided the accreditation.
A release issued by Dr Murali, Dean of the institute said the institute has been able to get this top grading (A-grade) due to the excellent infrastructure and highly qualified and dedicated faculty available in it to impart best quality education to students. Chairman of the Institute and Chief Secretary Manoj Parida congratulated the dean, faculty and staff members on this major achievement. The NAAC is an organization that assesses and accredits higher education institutions in India. It is an autonomous body funded by the University Grants Commission (UGC)
