India's first D-University AnantU focussing on Design Thinking

Through its multidisciplinary pedagogy, AnantU (Anant National University), which is also India's first design university is confident of harnessing the potential of thinking to develop interventions that can solve challenges for India and the world and aims to bridge the gap between contemporary socioeconomic challenges and sustainable solutions through design thinking.

AnantU offers programmes in Bachelor of Architecture, Bachelor of Design, Masters of Integrated Product Design and Anant Fellowship.

AnantU is led by a cadre of eminent people from academia, business, and government, each of whom are leaders in their respective fields. It is led by its President Mr. Ajay Piramal, Chairman, Piramal Group, Dr. Pramath Raj Sinha, Founding Dean, ISB, and Founder and Trustee, Ashoka University.

Located in Ahmedabad, AnantU's state-of-the-art campus features studio spaces, well equipped workshops for carpentry, 3D printing, ceramics and climatology and employs innovative edutech solutions in its classrooms. The faculty comprises of leading global academicians and practitioners committed to offer students a high quality interdisciplinary and interactive learning experience. For the first year students, AnantU offers a foundation course on 'Unlearning' to help students break down pre-conceived notions, that they may have developed through their past context and conditioning.

The university has strong partnerships with leading global institutes and universities, including University of Pennsylvania; University of Miami, Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Israel, Sustain Labs, Paris, and The Design Village, India, that provide meaningful faculty and student exchange opportunities, and partner in teaching, joint research and curriculum innovation.
