Priority to be given to education and health sector: Mungantiwar

Maharashtra Finance Planning Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar on Tuesday said the district planning commission should give priority to the education, health and employment sector in their planning and district administrative agencies in every district.

He was in city for attending review meeting of Nashik Divisional District for district annual Plan 2018-2019.

He said the district administration should submit additional demand for education, health, water and employment creation.

The government is making huge economic provision for the agriculture sector and necessary change will made in government circular to speed up development work.

Jalgaon district guardian minister Chandrakant Patil, Nashik district guardian minister Girish Mahajan, Ahmednagar district guardian minister Ram Shinde, Minister of State for Finance Deepak Kesarkar, Minister of State for Rural Development and Dhule district guardian minister Dada Bhuse, divisional commissioner Mahesh Zagade, Ahmednagar zilla prishad president Shalini Vikhe-Patil, and Nashik zilla parishad president Sheetal Sangle were present on the occasion.

Mr Mungantiwar took review of Ahmednagar district in which Rs 1,055.90 crore plan has been made for financial year 2018-19.

Dhule district's plan for the year 2017-18 was Rs 135.67 crore, for financial 2018-19, rs. 147 crore additional demand has been made.

The plan of Nandurbar district is of Rs 570 crore. Jalgaon district's plan for year 2018-19 is of Rs 494 crore and Rs 240 crore additional provision for various development works has been made.
