Government College of Engineering, Srirangam, was started during the year 2013 and is located on a 10+ acres site. This was the Eleventh state owned Government Engineering College in Tamil Nadu. The first batch of students was selected for the academic year 2013-2014 for courses in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Computer Science Engineering.
