Shambhunath Institute of Engineering and Technology was set up by the UTTHAN, a world renowned N.G.O. in 2004 with an objective of imparting quality education in Engineering and Technology. The aim of the College has been to maintain a liaison with the industries on one hand and the premier engineering institutions of the region like the IIIT Allahabad, MNNIT, Allahabad, IERT Allahabad, JK Institute of Applied Physics (University of Allahabad, Allahabad), etc. on the other SIET has been developing very fast since its commencement, and today it has got a very commendable infrastructure, which includes a well built campus, airy class -rooms, well equipped labs, and facilitated hostels for students.The Ex- President Hon'ble Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Ex- Vice Chancellor of UPTU, Lucknow, Prof. Prem Vrat and many other high profile Ministers and dignitaries have visited and praised the college campus. Shambhunath Institute of Engineering & Technology is a part of Shambhunath Group of Institutions and managed by UTTHAN, NGO. Library is the soul of our educational institution. The College Library has been an integral part of academic endeavor in college. Keeping in view intensive and extensive use, the library is being constantly enriched by the acquisition of latest books and journals keeping in pace with changing times, to further the advancement of the University's academic activities.
 
 Hostel Facility
SIET provides excellent separate hostel facilities for students. Boys hostel and Girls hostels are located in the campus itself so it makes easy access between college and students. The hostels and hostel facilities are of high quality and well equipped. The boys hostel can accommodate 400 boys and girls hostel 200 girls respectively. Members of the teaching staff are appointed as Resident Tutors in the hostel. The rooms provide most modern facilities and privacy .
