Mar Baselios Institute of Technology and Science (MBITS) was established in 2009 by Mar Thoma Cheria Pally, Kothamangalam, which is a six century old Parish Church and Pilgrim Centre, that is relied upon by millions of devotees for solace and fulfillment. The saint Eldho Mar Baselios undertook an arduous journey, from the Holy Land to Malankara, to give spiritual guidance to the followers of the church. This Holy Father was called to eternal abode from Kothamangalam and the saint’s tomb is situated inside the Mar Thoma Cheria Pally, Kothamangalam.

Hostel Facility
The ladies Hostel is located inside the campus.Total capacity of 45 rooms. Each student is provided with a cot, a table and a chair in their respective rooms. Each room is provided with a ceiling fan.
Scholarship Facility
Merit cum means scholarship:Every year 20000 scholarships will be distributed among the students of minority communities throughout the country. Based on the state-wise population of these communities.
Central Sector Scholarship Details:Professional Courses: Rs.1000/- per month for the first three years (Subject to a Maximum of Rs. 10,000/- for an academic year) and Rs. 2000/- per month for the 4th and 5th years of study (Subject to a maximum of Rs. 20,000/- for an academic year).
