Sri Adhisankarar Polytechnic College was started in the Academic Year 2000 - 2001 under the Trust Name of "ELUMALAIYAN EDUCATIONAL TRUST"

Library - The institution has a well stocked library for the use of students and staff and is housed in a well ventilated place with proper lighting facilities.
Other Facilities - Railway Consession forms are made available to the students for travelling between their Place of residence and Trichy. Students are encouraged to develop their talents in various forms of fine arts.  Necessary facilities are created to develop the students physical well being through various sports and other activities.
 
 Hostel Facility
Separate Hostel facilities are provided for girls and boys. Application forms for admission to Hostel can be had from the Office at the time of admission to the institution.
 
 Scholarship Facility
Polytechnic made arrangements with the concerned authorities, to enable the students belonging to SC / ST, MBC and BC to get Scholarships from authorities like

  Government of Tamilnadu
  Private Philanthropic Bodies
  ELUMALAIYAN EDUCATIONAL TRUST
  The managing authority of this polytechnic also provides a few scholarships to the needy students.

Campus interviews are organized by inviting various companies for the placement of the students for jobs. It fulfills dual purposes, one for students securing their future career, another for the industry securing the best fresh talents available in the region.
