Navarasam Arts and Science College for Women, established in June 1994 at Arachalur, Erode District, is an institution dedicated to the overall development of women folk through higher education at Graduate, Post Graduate and at doctoral levels. The college is affiliated to Bharathiar University and accredited by NAAC with “B” Grade rating with offers 19 UG Course, 10 PG Courses, 6 M.Phil Courses, 1 PhD Courses and 13 Carrier Oriented Programs. The college has well equipped facilities with modern infrastructural facilities including a library with computerized facilities consisting.
TEACHING/LEARNING : The college has 100 class rooms with spacious bright and ventilation facilities. The science laboratories are equipped with necessary facilities required for UG and PG Classes. The computer Science laboratory’s ( 3 numbers) are equipped with ------- systems Modern teaching using LCD …(etc) is also facilitator centralized Generator facility and enable the smooth functioning of administrative , teaching and Lab Work.
RESEARCH: The departments of Tamil, English, Maths, Computer-Science, commerce and Business Management have been recognized research departments at M.Phil level. The commerce departments is recognized as research department at Doctorial Level. 40 percentage of our faculty for recognized guides at M.Phil Level.
NETWORK RESEARCH CENTER: UGC sponsored Network Research Centre with 75 Intel Core i3 computers connected to internet facilities along with Wi-Fi facility is functioning in the college for the benefit of the student.
GYM FACILITY: A Gymnasium with necessary equipment sponsored by UGC is functioning in the college for the use of students. Our students have won prizes at International Level.
BOTANICAL GARDEN: Botanical garden with rare medicinal plants is maintained in the college campus with UGC sponsorship.
AUDITORIUM AND CONFERENCE HALL: An auditorium and a conference hall to accommodate 3000 student for the purpose of conducting meeting seminar are available in the campus.
SPORTS FACILITIES: The college has one hockey, Kabbady, Handball, volleyball and one Kho-Kho grounds . The students are trained in games like hockey won University-Level regional level and national level prizes in the abovesaid events.
TRANSPORTS FACILITIES : A college has 24 buses plying in and around Erode, Tirupur and karur Districts. This enable the students from the nearby areas where bus facilities are not available to get higher education.
Hostel Facility
The college has a hostel situated inside the campus. Accommodation with nutritious vegetarian food is provided to nearly 600 students. The hostel has 100 rooms with attached both room facility. Other facilities in the hostel include STD booth, library and so on.Type writing machines and sewing machines are also available for the students.
