Arjan Dass College is one of the old and famous Higher Educational Institute of the Dharamkot, Moga. Arjan Dass college was established in the memory of renowned Zamindar late Sh. Arjan Dass Nohria in 1971. He was high thinking and bright minded person who knows the value of Education very well in life. He started this institution with his late brothers Sh. Prabh Dayal Nohria and Sh. Bhagat Ram Nohria as Sanskrit School in 1906. It was upgraded as Higher Secondary School in 1961. It being the only institution in this backward area. This school served the Dharamkot and the surrounding villages for many decades.Arjan Dass college come into existence as a girls college in 1971. The college fullfilled the long cherished desire of the area as the girls students have to go far and wide to get higher education. Many girls could not receive a higher education due to financial and other reasons.Panjab University approved this college as a co-educational institution in 1973. The college comes under U.G.C section 2(f) and 12(B).A.D college has become the prominent institution of the area. The college had won many rewards in the field of education, games and arts. It is the first and only institution of higher education of the area. The students of this college has earned name and fame in many foreign countries. Many students are working on higher posts in various Govt. and non Govt. offices.Arjan Dass College aspires to have a transformational impact on students through comprehensive education by inculcating qualities of competence, confidence, introspection and self discipline. Arjan Dass College intends to develop new generations of leaders who can create an impact in business, governance and society at large. We believe our dream cannot be fulfilled without generous support from our future generation. Library: We exist in the world of books. A library could show you everything if you know where to look. A truly great library contains something into it to offend everyone.It is knowledge based pool of print and e- reading material. The library serves as a portal from where the readers can seek information electronically and expeditiously. The library is making its humble contribution empowering the students with knowledge.The college has a multi-sectional reader friendly library providing needed knowledge and information. Library is equipped with 7 computers connected with one server through LAN.Through N- List programme of INFLIBNET it provides access to the e-resources to faculty members and students. we subscribe number of subject based and general magazines online & in print form from where the readers can access information.There are qualified staff members of library who work in coordination with each other to provide quick and timely service to its users.
Canteen: A fully furnished canteen with separate sitting places for boys, girls and staff is maintained by a private contractor. It serves hygienically prepared snacks, cold drinks and confectionery items on reasonable prices approved by the Canteen Committee of the college.
Gymnasium: Keeping in view the fitness aspects of the students, a well equipped gymnasium is set up in the college premises. It is equipped with leading fitness products such as Cycle, Treadmills, Stretch, Free Weight and Weight Machines. Students may avail the facility of these fitness products under the supervision of Prof.
Sports: College provides various sports facilities to ensure maximum participation of students in sports activities. The campus has grounds for various sports such as Cricket, Hockey, Foot-ball, Kho-Kho, Kabbadi and Athletics.
