The Department of Sanskrit was established in the year 1973. The Department offers Skill Development programmes for students through Sanskrit Vyavahrika, Subhashitas and Sambhashana. The Department strives to motivate students to effectively utilize the various teachings taught to them through texts to face the challenges of everyday life. Bhagavad Gita shloka and Recitation of Shlokas from different works such as Ramayana, Mahabharata, Panchatantra,etc. is encouraged.conversational Sanskrit through the conversation class setup. The Department hosts several debate competitions in Sanskrit and English that are open to all students. The Department strives to ensure that its students emerge as good human being and and good citizens of the nation.It upholds the idea of Vishwabandhutva.
