Vidhya Sagar Women’s College is named after Sri Iswar Chandra Vidhya Sagar, the great scholar, reformer who is ever cherished and remembered by people of our nation. Ours is the first women’s college incepted in the year 2005 in Chengalpet.
Well equipped labs
Library: Our Library is well equipped with Books, Textbooks, Journals, Periodicals and Newspapers etc. Our Library contains more informative collections of books required for the Staff and Students. And arranged in a systematic way for their easy access. Existance of resource in our Library includes collections of books is 11,100, Journals (National and International) – 34 and Magazines – 15. Subscription of various Newspapers can be seen in our Library.
Transport: A full-fledged Transport department functions in the college with buses to provide transport facility to students and staff from various places.
Canteen: The College Canteen has been functioning efficiently from the beginning of the college. The canteen is located inside the College.
Solar Plant: Solar Panel System was installed during the year 2013 as the college was subject to frequent power cuts, thereby posing a constraint to the functioning of labs and conducive environment for students.
