Motibai Rajaram Mahavidyalaya, Garautha was established in 2010 by Bundelkhand Panchayat Vikas Mandal (BPVM) in memory of Late Smt. Motibai Niranjan with the aim of providing education to the hitherto underserved areas of Garautha and nearby places of district Jhansi. It has commenced classes and is poised for excellent growth in the near future. Motibai, herself uneducated through the formal education system, was a firm believer in education as an enlightenment and as a path to progress, especially for girls. She believed that an educated region would lead to the transformation of the society in general, for the better. With education comes prosperity – thus she said.
