Kerala University College of Teacher Education is one among the prestigious teacher education colleges run by University of Kerala. The college started functioning in 1994 at Olathanni and shifted to Nedumangad in 2004 keeping in mind the backwardness of this area.
The college is running with 50 Students in each Five Optionals- English, Mathematics, Natural Science,Physical Science and Social Science. There are the Principal and 13 members in the teaching faculty and 6 non-teaching staff in the office
ICT Lab: An ICT Lab is set up with 10 Computer systems.The laboratory can be made use of by students and staff.Internet is also provided .Staff and students can make use of this facility to browse and get access to the enormouse www resourses.
LIBRARY AND READING ROOM: The college library with a seating capacity for sixty students, has 5417 books including 700 Reference books, 12 sets of Encyclopedias, and 23 National and International journals. The library is divided into three sections- Loan, Reference and Journals. A multi-media Computer system with a collection of CD ROMs is the latest addition to the Library. Internet access is also proposed to be provided from the Library.
LANGUAGE LAB:Advanced Pentium Computer Systems and Innovative products such as digital multimedia control, headsets and microphones, the interactive response control, etc. which are very useful for students learning languages for communication.
NATURAL SCIENCE LAB: Natural Science Science Laboratory consists of specimens, charts, models, permeant slides, collection of herbarium, Human skeleton, Dissected and compound microscopes, stethoscope, dissection box, chemicals etc.
PHYSICAL SCIENCE LAB: Physical Science Laboratory consists of chemicals, different apparatus, instruments etc. Psychology Laboratory consists of different test items, psychological instruments etc.
SOCIAL SCIENCE LAB: The College has a well equipped social studies room cum laboratory. It is well equipped with equipments, apparatuses and material required for the subject, which helps in creating and maintaining a much needed congenial atmosphere for effective learning.
ART AND CRAFT RESOURCES: We provide opportunities for students to explore their creative skills and practice problem solving outside a strictly graded environment
