Westford Institute of Film Technology (WIFT) a film, animation and visual effects institute based in Cochin was established in 2009 under Westford Academy and Training Private Limited. Initiated by a group of young professionals from the film industry, Westford Institute of Film Technology (WIFT) was started to provide quality education exclusively for film and media courses. Within a short span of time, WIFT has successfully found its place among the leading film institutes’ with its quality education, effectiveness of training and its facilities. WIFT offers filmmaking courses under the accreditation of UK awarding body, Eduqual and the animation and visual effects courses under Bharathiar University and India’s one of the leading education wing, ZEE Learn. WIFT is the only centre of Zee Learn in Kerala.
WIFT provides facilities like Preview Theatre with 7.2 Surround Sound System, Professional Editing Suite, Professional Dubbing and Sound Mixing Studio, Acting Studio, Shooting Floor and a fully equipped Animation & VFX Lab and camera and professional light equipments.
