Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences is a Public Trust registered under Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950. It was previously known as Smt. Radhikabai Meghe Memorial Medical Trust. Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences – a Deemed University was granted this status by the University Grants Commission in 2005.
It is the first self funded University of this region and another feather was added to its cap when it was accredited with an “A” grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) which is an autonomous body set up by the University Grants Commission.
Hostel Facility
Well-furnished hostels are provided for boys and girls seprately with adequate open space and gardens around them. The hostels are looked after through a four -tier system consisting of resident Warden, Rector, Chief Rector and Hostel Advisory Committeee.
