Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences (SMIMS) is a constituent college of Sikkim Manipal University (SMU) established in the year 1997 as Central Referral Hospital

SMIMS library has a seating capacity of more than 150 students at a time with all the modern facilities of computers, internet, interactive CDs to support the teaching, learning, and research activities of the students. The institution has a 750 seated auditorium with all modern facilities. A 42 seated conference hall and a 45 seated seminar hall are also available to hold state and national level events.
 
 Hostel Facility
SMIMS provides hostel facilities for around 600 students with 24 hours uninterrupted power and water supply, attached bathrooms and a 300 seated dining hall .The hostel also has a Gymnasium, Badminton Court, TV Rooms and internet facilities for the students. The campus also has volley ball and basket ball courts.
