SIHM, Balangir is a pioneer institution in hospitality education and the first of its kind in the Western Odisha. It produces specially groomed skilled human resources to meet the challenges of the Industry in the new millennium. The beautiful complex of SIHM, Balangir welcomes you with its scenic splendour. The State Institute of Hotel Management (SIHM) Balangir has been set up with joint assistance from the Govt. of Odisha and Govt. of India with a view to training and developing skilled manpower for the dynamic Hotel Tourism Industry. Started in the year 2004, the Institute is currently offering four different demand-driven courses in core hospitality operations. The SIHM currently operates from a beautiful building in a picturesque location on the outskirts of Balangir town on the Balangir – Titlagarh state highway.
Keeping in view the advancements in the ever evolving hospitality industry, the Institute has been equipped with modern labs to effectively train prospective students in the various aspects of Hotel Operations. The Institute also provides hostel accommodation for both boys and girls.
The Institute has its own placement cell headed by a senior faculty member. Leading hoteliers, corporate houses, public sectors & private sectors undertakings. Conduct campus interviews every year.
