Symbiosis Law School, established in June 1977, was affiliated in the beginning to University of Pune. Further, the important stride was made in 2002 when SLS became the constituent college of the Symbiosis International University. Thereby, SLS gained an enhanced degree of autonomy in teaching, learning and research.Symbiosis Law School, Pune stands tall with the India Today Nelson Survey ranking the institute among the top 10 law schools of India in 2013 and the Bar Council of India conferring it with the Gold-star Award in 2013.

The Placement Cell organizes the placement training throughout the year and during the programme a systematic profound development of every student is ensured. The students are trained, groomed and chiseled to be the best professional, with the combination of managerial and leadership skills, and a broad range of professional skills such as legal reasoning skills, advocacy and legal writing. The Cell also facilitates internship opportunities for the students in Law firms and Corporate Houses. The Cell has managed to place students substantially in placement opportunities from various sectors including PSUs, Law Firms, Banking and Financial Companies, LPOs, Judiciary and Insurance.
