Institute of Solar Technology (IST) is an academic and research-oriented & Entrepreneurship Development institute under GATE Trust that has worked in partnership with companies, organizations, community development associations and sociological research institutes. Our Green Project was only made possible through a number of partnerships with local, national and international entities.
Mission:
To educate and inspire individuals and communities to live a more sustainable lifestyle using renewable energy and diverse examples of sustainability from around the world.
Technical Lab : The lab component has been especially designed for students to understand practical aspects of solar systems installation and operations. The Solar PV demo unit provides a platform for students to work on industrial equipment, by means of experiments and understand their installation, operations and maintenance aspects in addition to actual site visits accompanied by experts from the solar industry.
