National Academy of Films, Media & Communication (NAFMC) is India’s First Institute to offer UGC recognised University courses having well-researched curriculum in the stream of Films, Media & Communication. NAFMC, located in the heart of Mumbai city – (The Media Capital of India) aims to nurture its Students with the professional knowledge in accordance with the Industry requirement. Market realities continue to reshape the Media & Entertainment Industry: Technology platforms are evolving rapidly, new business models are emerging, consumer viewing habits are changing and new competition is arising from multiple sectors.
Media Library/ E-Library: NAFMC has a well-stocked collection acquired since its inception, and covering a broad span of technical and non-technical subjects pertaining to media and entertainment has the biggest collection of books on Media, Entertainment & Events. It also has E-Library facility for all the students individually. Students can read their choice of books & magazine on PC, Mobile and Tablets.
Computer Lab:
The computer lab with modern computers, printer, scanner and other required facilities will be available for the students to help them make various research modules, projects, presentation etc. The lab is well equipped with high bandwidth wi-fi internet facility.
I-Mac Editing Studio: An editing studio equipped with non-linear edit systems to meet students’ editing needs. The same has the following facilities – Mac Pro with FCP and iMac with Adobe Premier. Editing studio is also equipped with Additional editing software’s which are helpful for the students to complete their projects.
Audio –Visual Studio: State-of-art audio visual recording studio which is used for audio dubbing, video editing, re-versioning, audio and video translation and audio and video localization. Students get hands on experience on working with audio visual equipment’s and do live projects under the guidance of experts from the Industry.
Shooting Floor: A shooting floor along with a Production Control Room. The same is equipped with multiple digital cameras and multi-channel digital mixers. Lighting equipment includes camera overhead move-able lighting grid, cool floods, spotlights and a shadow caster.
Mini Theater: Well-equipped Mini Theater with best quality sound and picture is been designed to offer a more lively learning to the students. Sessions with live screening of various documentary films, Bollywood and Hollywood films shall help students in quick understanding of concepts.
Amphitheater: A state-of-art Rooftop Amphitheater is designed to accommodate more then 200 students for various performance and presentations. Various in-house events and other student group learning shall be organised in the amphitheater.
State–of-Art Classrooms: Class Rooms at NAFMC campus are Air-Conditioned with integrated laptop and LED projectors. Most classrooms have a capacity of 60 students. NAFMC also has studio class rooms for media students to get a feel of practical learning.
Seminar Hall: The Campus has 120 students capacity seminar hall which is mainly used for industry interaction sessions with the guest faculty. The hall is modern and equipped with latest technical equipment to enable the faculty to share their experiences.
