E.M.G Gopala Krishna Kone Yadava Women’s College was established in the year 1974, with the vision of building a strong and healthy society by providing Value added Education to socially and economically backward Women.
Library : To the existing 34883 books 5000 volume of books from regular Account and 3366 books from SF account were added. Totally 43249 books available. The library subscribes five leading daily newspapers, 120 journals and magazines, relating to different subjects. An open access system of reference for easy accessibility is available for both UG & PG students. 546 audio and video cassettes and 714 back volumes of periodicals are available. The whole college community has the benefit of the open access system. The Library is decentralized - General Library and Thirteen Departmental Libraries.
Canteen: A Co-operative store is run by the old students of our college, from which the students can get the stationery things at a reasonable rate.
Bank/ATM Facility: To cater to the needs of our students, Staff, College Administration and the public, Karur Vysya Bank, (A Public Sector Under taking) is functioning within our college campus.
Transportation: In our college for the safer transport for the students, the transportation is provided with 7 buses.
Store: An institutional food service unit is run by our college for the benefit of both Hostel and Day Scholar students. Snacks, beverages, lunch food items are kept for sale at a reasonable price.
Day Care centre: UGC Sponsored Day Care centre “Kidz Paradise” for the children of one year to six years of age, for the benefit of students and working women has been functioning since 14.12.2011.
XEROX: Photostat centre functions is our college from 9.30 a.m to 4.30 p.m. mainly to render service to the students.
