Government Home Science College is one of the pioneer institutes in Home Science in the country. Since its inception in 1961, it has grown into an excellent educational centre satisfying the professional and specialized needs of the contemporary woman.
Library : The college has a well equipped library with books on all the subjects especially in Home Science. Great importance is attached to independent reading in the library. The library subscribes to a large number of magazines and periodicals which are placed in the library.
Laboratories:College has many well equipped hi tech laboratories in all the departments namely Clothing and Textiles, Food and Nutrition, Family Resource Management and Human Development and Family Relations.
Hostel Facility
Hostel accommodation, including boarding, is available.
The college has an active placement cell which liaisons with the related industry and ensures interview and placements. It holds regular workshops on personality development, resume writing and associated activities. Soft skill development and entrepreneur workshops are also held regularly.
