The Central Agricultural University, IMPHAL, under the Department of Agriculture Research and Education (DARE) Ministry of Agriculture, Govt of India made the First Ordinance on 31st January 1996 for establishment and management of the Horticulture and Forestry (CHF) in the state of Arunachal Pradesh in view of its richest natural biodiversity and congenial agro-ecological conditions for growing and wide range of Horticulture crops and forest species. As a result a college was established at Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh on 7th Mar 2001.
The college is pearched on the picturesque bank of river Siang atthe foothills of Eastern Himalayas, spread over 145 acres at Pasighat(Headquarter of East Siang District) town of Arunachal Pradesh.
The College is well connected to internet through a permanent V-SET. It provides unlimited internet and email facilties to all members. Faculty members and students use internet and computing facilties for carring out their academic and research activities. All Class rooms are equiped with modern teaching aid and tools like Overhead, slide, and LCD Projector
Hostel Facility
There are two separates Hostels for boys and Girls within the campus of the college. Being B.Sc.(Horti) is a residential programme students are expected to stay in hostel. Construction of a new girls hostel has also been completed.
