Shri Vishnu College of Pharmacy (SVCP) is the first private Pharmacy College affiliated to Andhra University, Visakhapatnam and is situated in pollution free sprawling campus spread over 108 acres, with the latest equipment, spacious air-conditioned smart lecture halls, computer lab and seminar hall along with good library facilities. SVCP has been successful in providing and maintaining high quality in teaching in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Few research scholars and staff members are pursuing their research work.
Seminar Halls: Any Pharmacy student needs to participate in interactive sessions, presentations continuously. Seminar Hall is a place where most of the academic activities happen. SVCP has well equipped seminar hall which can accommodate 150 members. It is a center for knowledge acquisition since right ambiance is created with a podium, a computer system with internet facility, an LCD projector, a sound system and speakers. It attracts students to flock together to share, discuss and explore knowledge in their areas of learning.
Laboratories: State-of-the-art laboratories are the back bone of any Pharmacy College. Practical exposure brings real value to pharmacy degree. Shri Vishnu college of Pharmacy has all the laboratories with the latest equipment. There are specialized labs for Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical analysis, Pharmaceutical chemistry, Pharmaceutical microbiology & Biotechnology, Pharmacognosy etc.
Library and Information Centre: Shri Vishnu College of Pharmacy established its library in the year 1997, with an area of 398.45 Sq.m. It is air conditioned. The library collection is about 12139 Volumes and 2741 titles. The library’s amazingly rich collection contains Abstracts, Yearbooks, Textbooks, Theses, and Dissertations, Encyclopedias and General books and Novels. The library is also subscribing for 37 National journals, 22 International Journals, 44 magazines, 662 Journals back volumes and the library has subscribed full text online database like Science direct (2000 to 2013), Bentham Pharmacy collections , Inventi journals comprising more than 150 Journals, Drugdex Database (Micromedex) and Clinirex. Digital library is established with 40 systems to access the E-Journals, E-books and having the membership of DELNET (Development Library Net Work), CDs/DVDs are available in the library
