Gobi Arts & Science College established in the year 1968 is one of the top ranking post-graduate cum research institutions affiliated to Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. It is a co-educational grant-in-aid institution managed by the Gobi Arts College Council, registered on 25.8.1967 under the Societies Registration Act, XXI of 1860. The college was started with the noble objective of opening the doors of higher education to the poor and meritorious students who are mostly first generation students coming from agricultural families.

Common Proficiency Test (CPT) | Professional Competency Course (PCC)

1 .	Common Proficiency Test (CPT)
	Eligibility A student who has passed the Class 10 examination conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India or (an examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto ) may register for Common Proficiency Test. A registered student may appear in Common Proficiency Test after he has appeared in the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 examination) conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India or an examination recognised by the Central Government as equivalent thereto and has complied with such requirements as may be specified by the Council from time to time

2 .	Professional Competency Course (PCC)
	Eligibility A student who has passed Common Proficiency Test (CPT) and Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 examination) conducted by an examination body constituted by law in India or an examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto may join the Professional Competence Course (PCC). A student can appear in Professional Competence Examination (PCE) after successful completion of 100 Hours of Information Technology Training and also completion of 15 months of articled training three months prior to the first day of the month in which Professional Competence Examination (PCE) is to be held
