Government College, Kasaragod, one of the reputed institutions in the northern most district of Kerala has nourished thousands of students during the past five decades. This pioneer institution in the govt sector in this socially and educationally backward area caters to their needs in higher education. The college, at present, has 12 undergraduate and 7 postgraduate courses. The departments of Chemistry, Geology, Kannada and Statistics have been recognized as Research Departments by Kannur University.
