The College was established initially in 1918, the year of inception of the University, with only four departments of Astronomy, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics, and has gradually and steadily grown both in the number of departments and activities.
Library: The library is located in the ground floor and is part of the principal office building, UCS. All the current journals, bound volumes of journals and theses pertaining to the faculty of science have been placed in the library as central facility.
Health Centre: The students of UCS can avail free medical aid from the University Health Centre. There are specialists attached to the Centre who offer expert medical advice.
