Sharnbasveshwar Commerce College was started in 1961. This Institution is one of the earliest Commerce colleges in this Karnataka (Hyderabad Karnataka) region, over the years it has become one of the prestigious Institutions as there has been a consistent Infrastructure development with both men and material aiming at imparting quality education.This Institution is located on a hillock covering an area of about 3.5 acres. Computer Lab: Well Equipped with A/C and with higher configuration to meet the requirement for working on the higher graphic and multimdia based softwares.All the machines are connected under the CAT-6 cabled network along with the internet facility.The lab will be opened for the students from 09:00 AM to 05:30 PM.
Library: The library, being centrally air-conditioned, having a sitting capacity of 100 members has 42,456 books as on date, covering various areas of Commerce, Management, Economics, Computer Science, Languages, Social Science, Autobiographies, Encyclopedias etc. The library subscribes national and international journals and magazines besides national news papers. In addition, our library stocks statistical data and annual reports of industries, project reports by students and faculty members and back volumes of journals. The library also maintains press clippings on related subjects. Photo copy facility is also available. Library follows open access system under which students can choose any book for reading and well furnished reading room is provided for this purpose. Students are permitted to draw sufficient number of books for home study. As the library is located in the first floor ramp facility is provided for Differently abled people. We have an internet zone, where the students and teachers access it.

Placement Service Available: We have a Placement and Career Guidance Cell headed by senior faculty Prof: Sunanda Vanjarkhede to renders service to the students.Since, the constraints prevailing in our college owing to only under graduation programmes being offered, we have not been able to forge collaboration with any organization to undertake placement activity. However, efforts are being made to have a collaboration with our sister concern, that is, Doddappa Appa Institute of Management and Appa Institute of Engineering and Technology. According to this agreement all the companies that visit these Institutes for recruitment drive, our college too becomes an equal partner in this regard so that our students too can be the beneficiary of the requirement drive.
