Founded in 1941, Marwari College Bhagalpur is the First Commerce teaching institute of Bihar, after Kolkata in Eastern India and undeniably one of the most prestigious constituent college of Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University.Today College is maintaining its march of excellence way ahead of other institutions of the University with over 21 departments of all the three faculties i.e. Commerce, Science and Arts and a strong family above 6000 students including technical courses/programmes and other courses of similar nature.
Library: There is a separate Text-Book Section in the Library. The college library has a rich and variegated collection of over one lakh books, periodical volumes, manuscripts and rare books. It subscribes to a number of print journals on Arts, Social Sciences, Commerce and Humanities, besides a number of National Dailies. There are also specialized subject collections in some faculties.
