Purushottam Institute of Engineering and Technology

Purushottam Institute of Engineering and Technology, Rourkela established in the academic year 1999-2000 with the dawn of new millennium, as a pilot project under "Purushottam Education & Welfare Trust", is situated in the Western part of the state of Orissa.

Library: Keeping in view the fast changes in technology, the knowledge base of the library is updated regularly by way of adding new literature in the form of text books, reference books, reports, proceedings, abstracts & indexes, encyclopedias, data books, standards (National & International) Journals & database on CD-ROM. Apart from adding new titles, the basic literature is also procured for the new programmes along with current one. Some new section and services are also being started to make the library services of ISO 9001 standard. It has a rich collection of more than 1700 unique Titles and 16000 volumes covering almost all areas of Engineering, Science & Technology and Humanities. It is open to all students & faculty members, from where they can borrow the required books as per rules.
Canteen: The institute has a canteen for both students and staffs. It is a spacious canteen providing delicious food, hygienic environment with aquaguard drinking water.
 
 Hostel Facility
The institute has three hostels for students & a guest house for the teachers. All the hostels are provided with modern amenities. These hostels have full time superintendents and teaching staff as warden looking after the hostel activities. The mess provide balanced and nutritious food. A four storeyed hostel with a capacity of around 800 is going to come up in near future.

The institute has a full-fledged T&P Cell managed by experienced professionals & consultants. Several firms have conducted Campus Interviews and a large number of our students from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd batch have already joined in various reputed organisations and 4th batch students have been selected/short listed. Many of our students being selected by Multinationals have already proceeded abroad.
