Dr. B.K.B. College established in 1967 has gradually emmerged to be a premier institution of higher education in a purely rural ambience. This centre for higher education came into being under the able leadership and guidance of a host of leading citizens of Puranigudam. It was, in fact, a very adventurous preject to which all the people rich and poor contributed their services. The college was initially located at Bapujee Bhavan and had to pass through a prolonged period of strain and stresses till the date of its final recognition from UGC
Free Computer Education: The College is offering free computer education at its own strength keeping in view the realities and pressing needs of the rural students.
Music School:A Music School in the college has been started from academic session 2009-10. Intending students may take admission to obtain Bachelor Degree in Music under Bhathkhande Sangeet Vidyapeeth, Luchnow in Vocal and Tabla. Music classes are held on Monday and Friday during college hours.
Auditorium: An auditorium is an indispensable part of higher education institution for developing inherent talents of the students in various fields. It is essential for holding college functions, meetings, seminars, workshop etc.
College Gym: The college has a well equipped Gymnasium Hall for physical exercise and body building for the students and youths of the locality. A well trained physical instructor gives necessary trainings and instructions.
