Swami Vivekanand Educational Society, (Regd.) Hamirpur (H.P.) society has the following office bearers who are dedicated to make Swami Vivekanand College of Education goal oriented. To open this institution in such a remote and rural part of Himachal Pradesh is itself commendable job. The governing body is highly qualified and aware of the significance of education. They are determined to make this remote region educationally rich.This is the first college of Education in HP accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) the appex body of UGC India for the Quality and Excellence in Higher Education.S.V.N. College of Education, Tarkwari came into existence by the efforts of S.V.N. Educational Society (Hamirpur) and the courtesy of H.P. Government, H.P. University and NCTE Jaipur. The college started functioning from Oct. 3rd 2000

Library: The college provides excellent Library and reading room facilities in an area of about 1200 sq ft. with over 8000 books and 34 national and international journals. Photocopier facility is also available for the students.The library has been facilitated with electronic media viz. C.D.’s, online journals etc.
Laboratories: The institute being a teachers training institute has well equipped educational technology cum work experience lab. The IT lab comprises of 26 computers & one LCD Projector, all modern electric and electronic devices viz OHP, TV, DVD player, CD’s on different subjects microphone, amplifier. The Psychological lab of the institute consists of a large number of psychological test and other equipments necessary to measure different psychological variables. The colleges have a Language learning lab well equipped for 30 students.The institute provides courses related with Information Technology (I.T.) as BCA with well equipped I.T. labs comprises of 20 computers & one LCD Projector, all modern electric and electronic devices.
Canteen: Canteen and mess are provided with modern kitchens to prepare tasty and nutritious food and purified water provided in the canteen and mess with hospitality.
Sports: The institute owns a spacious play ground of around 2035 sq. Mts. suitable for all outdoor games like basket ball, badminton and Kabaddi etc.The institute has separate sports room having all types of sports paraphernalia for indoor and outdoor games.
Internet: The colleges have 46 computers with high speed broadband internet facility. The internet is accessible 24 hours to every student.
